Where is the Playfactory?
The Playfactory is set in a lovely location, on a quiet street, adjacent to Santich Park, just off Rockingham Road. Our address is The Playfactory Playgroup Inc, 19 Beckett Close, Lake Coogee, WA 6166
What are the session times?
The Playfactory currently runs one morning session a day, Monday to Friday. Please check our Session Times for each day.
How many families are permitted per session?
The Playfactory has consulted PGWA and decided that 15 families enrolled per session is the ideal amount. This means that every family can have multiple children as well. Some sessions have slightly more as we prefer not to turn families away but always try to keep the number manageable.
Can we join as a group? E.g. Mothers Group
Yes, if there is availability in a session we would love to have your entire Mother's Group join.
Can I attend playgroup on school & public holidays?
Yes, playgroup is open all year round and is usually determined by what your session members prefer to do.
Are other carers allowed to join?
Yes, this is not just for Mums! All carers are welcome at the Playfactory, in fact we currently have a few Nanas that attend with their grandchildren and welcome anyone who has a child aged from newborn to 5 years!
Are refunds given and when?
No, we do not give refunds however we offer you two free sessions to make sure the playgroup is the right fit for your family and which day suits you the best. If, for whatever reason you cannot attend the day you originally joined we will happily offer you another session on an alternative day or time if it's available.
Are we able to attend additional sessions?
Unfortunately you are only able to attend the session that you have enrolled in. So if you miss a week you are not able to ‘make up’ the time by attending another session. If you wish to attend a second session we ask you to pay an additional $70 per year or $50 per semester to cover any extra utilities.
Is the facility available for hire?
The Play Factory is available to hire for children's parties and other services that relate or link to children services. The Venue is available for Non-Members and Members at a discounted rate.
Please contact the Party Bookings Officer for more details and a party booking form.
How long can we hire the venue for?
This can be discussed at the time of the party booking however there is a minimum of three hours and no maximum - within reason!
Why do we need to sign in?
Signing the attendance register is a Playgroup WA requirement. It is also needed for insurance purposes and helps the Committee ascertain who is attending.
Why does each session have a session leader?
Session Leaders act as a central contact point for both members and the committee. The Committee passes on relevant information to group leaders to feedback to the members of their session. Session Leaders can also pass feedback from the members to the Committee. They assist the Membership coordinator in keeping group information up to date and in welcoming new members to the group.
