Each session has a volunteer Session Leader, who’s your main go-to person for information. Session Leaders help share updates and feedback between session members and the Committee, keeping everyone in the loop. They’re also happy to answer any questions you might have about The Play Factory and how everything works.
 

Each session can be as relaxed or as organised as your group likes. Some groups choose to have rosters for things like providing snacks, setting up play equipment, running children’s activities, and helping with clean-up and pack-up.

The level of structure in your session is completely up to your members — it often depends on the size of your group and the ages and needs of the children.

Allergy Policy
The Play Factory is a nut-aware environment.

This is a change from our previous ‘nut-free’ policy. The update better reflects what we can all do to minimise the risk to children with allergies, while recognising that we can’t always guarantee every food item brought into The Play Factory is completely nut-free, or that another child hasn’t eaten nuts before coming to playgroup.

Parents and caregivers are strongly encouraged not to bring nuts or foods containing nuts onto the premises. Some children may also have other severe allergies, so please be mindful and check with your group members about which foods are safe to bring to your session.
